About CAET

Creative Arts in Education and Therapy (CAET) – East, West and Global Perspectives is an open access international journal sponsored by IACAET and published by Inspirees Education Group. CAET was founded in 2015 by Dr. Tony Yu Zhou and had been led by an international Editorial Board consisting of about 50 leading experts including Shaun McNiff, University Professor at Lesley University, one of the founders in expressive arts therapy in the world. In 2023, CAET got a new leadership with five new co-editors.

CAET is indexed in Scopus, OCLC WorldCat, EBSCO, DOAJ and CNKI databases and collected by such major institutions as the National Library of China, the Royal Dutch National Library, the Chinese Central Conservatory of Music, the Academic College of Society and the Arts (Israel), Art Therapy Italiana, Shanghai Theater Academy, China Academy of Fine Arts, East China Normal University, etc.

CAET has been accepted for Scopus in 2023, a big milestone for the journal. CAET is now well positioned to attract more submissions with quality and grow into the next step with our mission to advance the East-West and global dialogue and human understanding, and continue to have impact on in academic world. Aims and Scope

Creative Arts in Education and Therapy (CAET) – East, West and Global Perspectives is an international journal for artists, educators and therapists, who use and integrate creative arts in their work. The focus is on reporting and discussing perspectives, theory-based application and practical results between the West and the East – particularly China and its neighboring cultures. The journal supports cross-disciplinary dialogue, cooperation and research between creative arts (creative writing, dance/movement, drama, film, music, and the visual arts) and education, therapy, psychology, medicine, and other related fields. The journal also welcomes contributions that advance this artistic purpose in all parts of the world.

CAET invites research articles, case reports, program descriptions, position papers, interviews, and conference reports relevant to the field. We also welcome books for review consideration. Manuscripts are subject to a peer review process before being accepted and published. Contributions are to be in English and will be published with bilingual abstracts: English and Chinese. CAET publishes 2 issues per year in both print and online versions.
