Webinar Description:

We invite you to join us in the book launch webinar for “Expressive Therapeutic Writing: Guiding Transformation and Restorative Care through Intermodal Arts, Word by Word” (Demaine & Einstein, Routledge: 2024). We will welcome you into expression through the mother tongue of the arts with writing as a backbone. Please have writing and art supplies near you to enable you to actively participate in the magic of what happens when writing meets the other arts.  Together we will explore how the arts nourish each other and reflect on the transformative power that writing can enhance and distill.

In addition to creative exploration, the authors will tell stories and a few favorite parts of the book to highlight the shared experience of co-writing a book that is based on over 30 years of clinical, academic, and personal engagement with the arts therapies, including writing, from two parts of the world, USA and Israel. Their co-writing journey in itself a transformative and creative act, is threaded together word by word.
