IACAET Meeting for Global Credentialling Frameworks
March 8, 2025
The first IACAET Global Credentialling Frameworks meeting was held on March 8, 2025 with around 60 participants present around the world. In total, there were 110 people registered for this event, representing over 20 countries. The meeting was very successful with the active and enthusiastic discussion in a big group as well as breakout rooms. Each participant got the chance to share their thoughts and opinions on the major questions: What is available in your country with credentials? What is missing? How IACAET can support you with the credentialling work and professional developoment? The meeting was facilitated by Dr. Tony Yu Zhou (China), Devika Mehta (India), Prof. Helen Payne (UK) and Prof. Vivien Speiser (USA) who are on the IACAET credentialling task force. Dr. Val Huet, the President of IACAET, together with other committee chairs and regional directors were also present in this meeting.
The pre-meeting survey showed there was lots of interest and needs to establish international credentials in the area of arts and health, arts education, arts healing and creative arts therapies, especially in less developed countries and regions where there are no established credential system and professional recognization in place.
